Coram Residents Celebrate the 2020 Virtual Christmas Tree Lighting Plus Other Festivities This Year Via the Local Streaming Services

Although the holidays feel topsy-turvy during these concerning days, Coram’s citizens -- children and children at heart -- still experience the wonders of the season. On Friday, December 4, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting shares virtually. The ceremony airs through December 31, 2020, on Channel 18. Like every year, the Christmas Tree Lighting also features:

• Santa’s helicopter arrival

This year the tiny tykes cannot meet directly with Santa, but parents or other adults can arrange for a video message via email from the jolly old elf. Search on the Town of Brookhaven website to find a questionnaire designed to help create a personalized video for up to five children in a Coram hamlet family. The cost of $25 supports the nearby Holtsville Ecology Site.
