Being Aware of What To Look For!

In this photo which is from a residence that incurred a water damage, our technicians always need to know what types of materials are damaged. Here we can see drywall, paneling, concrete, wood studs and plywood, all soaked from the broken pipe.
We follow proper protocol to understand what materials should be cut out due to greater potential for mold growth (also contingent upon the length of time from the water damage and time when we get called in and arrive on site) versus what materials can be dried in place and salvaged.
Of course each situation is unique and protocol can change based on a variety of factors. This is why at SERVPRO of Patchogue we make sure that our technicians are properly trained to be ready for any situation.
