We Don't "Just Clean-Up"

When fires occurs, in both residential homes and business alike, it’s not just the cleaning up of the structural areas that we need to be concerned with. This photo shows a lot of damage to the home itself (floors, ceilings, walls, insulation, etc.), but just look at the personal property damage!

Our crews have to be so careful with the homeowner’s personal belongings because the insurance companies need very specific documentation in order to appropriately compensate the insured so they they have monies to replace all of the damaged items. The fallen debris must be sifted through prior to bagging for disposal so that any contents, which may be very small items, can be separated for further valuation.

SERVPRO of Patchogue’s team members need to be very aware of properly bagging and separating these items, so taking our time in small spaces with lots of contents is a very important part of the clean-up process.
